HYBRID Training
In these action packed training sessions, we utilize North Shore Bike Park's terrain for a progression of Intervals and drills on the bike while incorporating strength and mobility work off the bike too. All abilities are welcome.

This exciting program brings the programming expertise from North Vancouver's original MTBdryland program into the North Shore Bike Park for this training program.
HYBRID combines the fun and physical exertion of intervals on the indoor pump track & jump lines matched with skill developement AND off-bike segments to build riders’ strength, core, power, mobility & resilience. It’s a perfect cross-training session for mountain biker - regardless of skill level or fitness level.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Sessions led by professional bike coaches and trainers
HYBRID combines the fun and physical exertion of intervals on the indoor pump track & jump lines matched with off-bike segments to build cardio, strength, core, power, mobility & resilience.
Each 60-minute training session will involve coach-led, progressive drills, intervals and challenges on the park’s pump and jump lines. In every training session, we will have a segment of time to review a fundamental riding skill, AND a segment to spend time off the bike doing MTBdryland-type exercises that include strength, core and mobility work.
These fun, fast-paced, guided sessions on the track and the corresponding exercises off the bike will positively affect many aspects of your riding.
Participants will be surprised at how easily their heart rate ramps up and how much speed and control they can acquire as they get out of the saddle, pump, and push their bike through the terrain.
These training sessions in the bike park environment encourage the rider to refine their skills and improve their riding efficiency, stamina, strength and power.
SCHEDULE - WINTER 2025
The next HYBRID Training Sessions ARE starting Wednesday, January 8th, 2025.
Sessions run in 6-week segments. Each session is 60 minutes in length. The following start date is Wednesday, February 19th, 2025. Drop-in sessions are available.
Wednesdays: 6:00 am, 7:00 am & 12noon
Fridays: 6:00 am, 7:00 am
More session times to be announced.
Options to participate 1x or 2x per week
All levels are welcome!
Registration covers access to the park for the training sessions only.
We have exclusive use of the park during the 6 am & 7 am sessions. During the noon session, the park is open to the public.
Don’t have a bike for these sessions? That’s okay. We have a demo fleet of the ultimate dirtjumping ride - the Transition PBJ’s(Long and Short) provided by North Shore Bike Shop. If you want to take one for a test ride during your next Hybrid Training Session, please send us a note.
